Logging In and Accessing Your Classes
Here is another way (click) to get into Teams and access your classes.
Here is another way (click) to get into Teams and access your classes.
- Classes are called Teams.
- Every Team has a General tab where most of the information is located. Other tabs are created by teachers with specific information they want you to access.
Joining a Meeting (Video Chat)
- You will be invited to participate in meetings by your teachers. You will get an invitation in your PSD 150 email.
- Go to Teams and click on the Calendar icon on the left side of the screen. You will see the meetings you have been invited to there. Just click on that meeting when it is time for class.
- You will get a new screen. Click on the JOIN button in the upper right corner. Alternatively, there is a Join button on the screen.
- Before you will join, you will get a screen that tests your video. You'll see a slider for the camera and mic. Turn them both on to make sure they work. Your mic will probably be muted automatically when you join. If you want to check or change your settings, click on the gear icon to see what you have preset. You may have some options.
- Click Join now! You will join the meeting in progress!

I will post assignments to my website and to Teams. You will submit your assignment through Teams. These are the basic instructions for accessing your assignments.
- When you are logged into Teams, click on the class you want to view.
- Make sure you are on the General channel (circled in RED in the picture below). (This is what teachers see--it may look a little different to you.)
- At the top, there are a bunch of tabs. One of them is Assignments (circled in BLUE in the picture below). Click on Assignments.
- You will then get a screen with a list of assignments. Click on one (circled in GREEN below).
- When you click on the assignment, look over what I have posted. You may not see exactly what you see in the picture below since every assignment is different. I've highlighted a few features for you to take a look at here.
- Often, I will provide instructions for you to follow. Make sure you know what you are being asked to do.
- In the assignment below, you can see there are points assigned and there is a rubric. You can click on the rubric so you know how you will be graded.
- There are also a few resources under "Student work." For this assignment, one is an article and the other is a response sheet. These are both clickable Word Online documents. You can see that I have instructed my students to write directly on one of the documents, then they will share it with me from Word Online.
- Be sure you follow submission instructions carefully. If I specify a document for you to turn in or you have other files to attach to this assignment, select +Add work and upload your file. It's possible to work on Office files right from this screen--no need to leave the app.
- If you're turning in the assignment for the first time before the due date, select Turn in. You'll see a time and date stamp recording your turn-in.
Here are other options for turning in your work:
Undo turn in
Take back an assignment you've already turned in to make changes before the due date.
Turn in again
Turn in work after making revisions to an assignment you've already turned in. For example: Your teacher has returned it to you and asked for changes, or you've decided to revise your work before the due date.
Turn in late
Turn in work after the due date for the assignment has passed. This means your teacher is accepting late turn-ins. You might be turning in the assignment for the first time or submitting a revision after it's been returned to you.
Not turned in
Your teacher is no longer accepting turn-ins for the assignment and you won't be able to turn in work.
